Space: the final frontier

Guess what we watched last night? HA! When we went to see...? Oh! It was The Hobbit, we saw the trailer for the next Star Trek movie. It looks GOOD. Since I hadnt seen the first one, we watched it last night. To prepare. I loved it. I cant wait to see the next one! And then we took a million pictures of the two of us....

I'm quite excited that the time has come and we're in the final week before the concert! YES! And excited to have 2 days off work! YAY!

Other things Im excited about...

My Christmas cactus has little buds on it!!! This thing is probably 80 years old. Seriously. My mom remembers it from when she was little.

Also getting very excited for Meredith to have the baaaaaby! Mostly because then maybe Murderface will lose interest and become MY cat again! Juuuuust kidddddding! Or am I? Muwahaha! Okay, Im excited to meet my new little niece :) I'm so curious to see what she looks like. Know what else I was curious about? Mucus plugs. The only thing I knew about them was that pregnant ladies have them, and then they fall out or something and then after that, a baby comes out. I thought it would be a good idea to google 'mucus plug' I squinted my eyes alot so that I couldn't really see the images clearly. Still, I could tell they don't look like an ear plug. Thats all Ill say. According to google, a person can have that thing come out and then have nothing else happen for weeks! Im going to ask Meredith tonight if she still has one. I didn't want to ask via text, Ill save that for in person.
My new shift at work starts Friday! Starting at 7 is going to be interesting. Its been many years since Ive worked the early shift. That also means that Im going to have to go to the gym with Chris. And since he likes to go every day, that means I have to go everyday since we will be driving together. Speaking of the gym, I went to go swimming this morning and there were STRANGERS in the pool area! I asked the girl at the front what was going on, she said they were fixing the hot tub, but that the pool was fine. I hightailed it to the ladies locker room and went in the sauna and hot tub in there. I didnt really feel like swimming today anyway so my unasked prayer was answered!!! Plus, I already feel like a weirdo swimming laps in a 2 piece bathing suit. I HAVE to get a different one! But where? None can be found! Especially one that will be comfy for a girl with a longish torso.

Anyway.

Murderface was gnawing on the side of this box last night...for quite awhile. She must really love the taste of cardboard. Last weekend when we took my lifesized cardboard Edward Cullen to storage, I noticed that something had been chewing on his shoulder! Something with needle teeth! Damn it!

Sooooo...Django was amazing. I just adore LD :) There was lots of bloody violence and romance. Perfect combination. One thing though, I did dream that Monsieur Candie was my doctor...that was...creepy. Anyway, I woke up at like 4:30 this morning feeling sick sick sick to my stomach. I think it was because I had Fireball whiskey, a package of starbursts, two beers and a benadryl for dinner. Ha.

Last night, I felt compelled to take a snapshot of my nightstand. I see so many posts where gals show what they have in their handbags...this is sort of along those lines, right? Other than the dinos, this is pretty typical of what would be seen hanging out next to my bed. A touch light globe lamp, miami sound machine, lip balm, earplugs (they have to be kept in that case otherwise Clarice will eat them), an empty beer bottle, a water glass, a Valentine from my parents and a nail file. All pretty standard stuff.

In other news, I got an email from the lodge we stayed at recently, offering a great deal, so I think we'll be making another trip sometime in the near future! Maybe leave the pup home this time. Romance :) EXCITED!!!!!

I like how my eyes get all wide looking at Murderface jumping into the window. In related news, MF actually WANTED to be picked up and carried around this morning! By ME! Crazy, I know! Maybe shes slowly coming back around to loving me. Maybe.

Im dying laughing right now thinking about Chris taking a sip of the beer, accidentally inhaling it, spitting it back into the glass, which then blasted out all over his face. Seriously one of the funniest things Ive ever seen. I was telling my mother in law about it when she came back into the kitchen and she was like, 'he spit it back into the glass? That glass of beer that youre drinking?' Uhhhh...yeah, I guess it is. Didnt realize I was drinking his spit out beer. Maybe the joke was on me.

God! I wish I was that cute when sleeping.

Also!!!! We went to parents for dinner Saturday night and talked about a theme for the wedding reception. Mexican Fiesta!!! I am so in love with this idea! Its going to be great! And hopefully inexpensive. Yes!
Lets see..what else went on this weekend...took a bunch more stuff to storage, watched HP2 and Beverly Hills Cop. Although I fell asleep before BHC was over, still sore from yoga on Saturday. Kicked my bum. For real.
Heard from my attorney. Evidently, they are waiting to receive an MRI report before drafting a demand letter. Really? Thats it? I asked if they just wanted me to fax it, since I work for the imaging office...but no can do. Has to go through the proper channels. Oh well. 

HAPPY MONDAY!!! Were going to see Django Unchained tonight. So. Effing. EXCITED.

Home alone

Well, I SAY I'm alone...but in reality Meredith is in the other room. But Chris got paged, so hes
 gone :(  I'm so rarely home without him. Feels very strange. Just me and Clarice laying in bed.
Thinking about how I don't feel like going to yoga this morning and would rather lay in bed, listening to the rain on the skylight, waiting for my husband to get home. Goodness, I feel lazy!

Not too much going on lately. Watched Expendables 2 last night. VERY GOOD. Ate a bunch of spicy nacho popcorn. It was...meh...Chris was having bacon popcorn. I love that stuff. His was better. He shared :)

Was going to take a pic of the dinner that Chris made...but then I ate it. All of it.

The daily-I don't mind having my picture taken in the dark, but Chris thinks differently.

Once Chris turned the lights on, things got crazy.

Since setting a reminder at 8 oclock to take our daily photo, Ive come to realize that most of our photos take place from our bed. Are we so old that we're in bed by 8 every night? This is pretty disturbing to me.

In other news, my request to have my hours at worked changed has been approved!!!! YES! Soon, Chris and I will be able to ride share! Savin money! Holler!

Awake!!!!
I am awake. Working the early shift today. Entered the building and the alarm started going off! I don't have a code to disable it. Awesome. Anyway, got it taken care of, but, really? Come On! So annoyed. And wide awake now.

It was REALLY icy this morning. And foggy. Its been super foggy pretty much every day for the last week. Strange. I like it though. It was so sunny and clear yesterday but by the time I got off work, everything was softened by the fog.

The view was pretty much the same this morning while driving to work.

Aaaand, the daily. I really hate using the flash. I always look so....stoned. HAHA!

Stoked that Im off at 3:30 today. Having to be here at 7 is kind of rough, but I LOVE getting off early. Hopefully my hours will change soon and this will be the norm. And Ill be able to spend the drive to and from work with my favorite person....sigh...

This weekend we:

Did some grocery shopping and found my favorite beer!!!!! YESSS!!!

Made split pea with bacon. And I ate mine with bacon croutons! bacon bacon bacon bacon...
